What is it?

It is the interaction with the devices and materials in your work. It's not about knowing all the tools available on the market, but only those related to your professional environment, as you will need to know what its function is and how it is used in the most efficient and effective way; thus extending the life of the technical equipment.

How to get or improve it?

  1. Basic concepts to know If s.o. wants to develop this skill. It should be the obligation of schools to ensure the acquisition of these skills. And one should not wait to enter the world of work to learn how to use them, which is what usually happens these days. Teaching is also not sufficiently focused on solving conflicts with this matter in a practical way. 
  2. Knowing how to use the tools/information sources available for support. Using information tools is necessary for any field. The main ones are, either to have a book/manual specialized in the subject, or to be registered to a forum of and usually problems very similar to those they may have to come with. It is very important to learn how to analyse the trust of Internet forums or tutorials, to develop a comprehensive reading that will be useful to us before instruction manuals and not to ignore the signs that something’s wrong.

What is it?

Most equipment devices usually have an installation manual or guide that you can even find on the provider's website. This skill talks about how we use this guides and take advantage of all the knowledge we have at our disposal.

By making use of this information, you can install any equipment/device that is necessary for us, and make it work in the right way, as much as we can. In order to achieve this, it is strictly necessary to continue at the foot of the letter everything that the manual or the guide tells us to do in the safest way.

 

How to get or improve it?

  1. To know the basic concepts necessary to be able to acquire it.  To purchase it, simply read manuals, consult guided tutorials, in audiovisual format or text formatting, before watching any tutorial or reading a manual, check if it is, or the company has an official one to guarantee all the information. 
  2. Knowing how to use the tools/information sources available for support. There may be certain novelties, but if there is a common factor or factors, those factors will be taught in class as if it were just one more section for each subject that needs it without forgetting the practical part that will create a great skill in the student.

5. Using the internet, including email and search engines

What is it?

That consists of all the uses of the Internet (searching for information, communication, teamwork, etc.) in an efficient and safe way.

 

Aims?

 

How to get or improve it?

  1. Basic concepts to know if s.o. wants to develop this skill.
    • First of all you have to create a new user with your personal data to perform this step you must enter the email you want and create an account.
    • Once the account is created, you can send and receive emails. To send emails you have to go to the section to write, you will get a window where you have to select one or more recipients then write the subject and then write the text or attach the document according to what you want to send. 
    • Within the text we can format: modify font, change alignment, colour, etc.
    • In addition to sending emails you have to learn to answer them, forward them, create groups, chats, organize emails in folders, indicate if they are important …
    • To answer them, you will have to go to the email they have sent you and go down to where you want to answer, once there you will get a square where you will be able to write or attach following the steps to send the emails. 
    • To resend them (send an email to a person who has already been sent to another person before) you will have to pick up the email that you have been sent or sent, click the arrow to the right or the option to resend, choose recipients and you give to send. 
    • In addition to traditional emails depending on the type of emails you can create individual or group chats such as the type or service of gmail: To work togheter with use cases of situations with the trainees and how we could cope with this situations.
